Next England Manager Betting Odds – Allardyce Strong Favourite
Europe has clearly taken its toll recently. Cameron gone. Corbyn nearly gone. And now Roy Hodgson. There’s not much more to be said about England’s performance in Euro 2016 that hasn’t been said already. So whilst the politicos are wondering who will be the next Prime Minister, or the next Labour Party leader, we’re now also thinking about who will be the next England Manager and are watching the next England manager odds closely.
Will the FA play it safe and go for the current U21’s manager, Gareth Southgate? Or will they go for youth and nab Bournemouth’s bright young spark, Eddie Howe. Or will they go foreign with perhaps Jurgen Klnsmann or Laurent Blanc.
Right now, it looks as if the FA is playing it very safe and looking at Premier League relegation battle specialists, Sam Allardyce and Steve Bruce.
The betting odds markets currently have Sam Allardyce as the huge favourite at odds of 2/7 with William Hill. This follows reports that Allardyce is in talks with the FA about the England job. It is not out of the question that he could be announced as manager by the end of the week. However, its also been reported that the FA have also had a meeting with Steve Bruce cutting his odds to 8/1 with Bet365
3rd favourite is now early favourite Jurgen Klinsmann whose odds have recently lengthened to 10/1 with Coral
Then comes Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe who is available at best odds of 16/1 with William Hill. He too is expected to be interviewed for the job this week.
