Aidan Turner and James Norton Betting Favourites to be next Bond
Jack Huston One To Watch For James Bond Role
Aidan Turner has locked horns with Happy Valley’s star James Norton in the battle to become the next James Bond. The popular hunky Dubliner has recently shortened further for the role and is now available at best odds of 9/4 via BoyleSports from 11/4, however he has stiff competition in James Norton.
Norton is a relatively new name to the betting, but quickly caught punters’ eyes. A further burst of support over the past two days has resulted in the Londoner’s odds being slashed into best odds of 5/2 via William Hill, from 2/1, placing him as a joint favourite to succeed Daniel Craig as 007.
Boardwalk Empire’s Jack Huston is another new key contender for the role of James Bond and has impressively gone straight into the betting at the short price of 3/1 via William Hill, surpassing Tom Hiddleston.
Tom Hiddleston was once the red hot 1/3 favourite, but reports have since emerged that his chances have dwindled resulting in him drifting right out to best odds of 6/1 via PaddyPower. Other early frontrunners included Idris Elba (8/1), Tom Hardy (12/1) and Damien Lewis (16/1), but support has since dried up as the focus shifts to the top three names in the betting.
Aoife Heffron, PR Executive for BoyleSports commented
Aidan Turner is one of the hottest actors in the business and is on everyone’s mind ahead of the much anticipated second series of Poldark. His popularity spills over in the Next James Bond Betting, where once again he heads the betting for the role, but this time he isn’t alone.
James Norton, better known for his role as villain Tommy Lee Royce in Happy Valley is the joint favourite with Turner to take over from Daniel Craig after a recent rush of bets saw him cut into 9/4 from 2/1. Another one to watch in the race to be 007 is Jack Huston who has been catching punters’ eyes at 5/2.
