Following the NEC meeting where it was ruled that Jeremy Corbyn should automatically be on the ballot,  the Labour Leadership race is truly on. Owen Smith has also declared that he will be standing.

So as things stand the contest is between Eagle, Smith and Corbyn. Who wins? The Labour Membership decide.

In terms of the betting odds markets, Jeremy Corbyn who is expected to still have the support of the majority of the membership has been installed as favourite, at best odds of 4/6 with a variety of bookmkers including Bet365

Owen Smith leapfrogs Eagle and is second favourite at best odds of 6/4 with Ladbrokes 

So it is quite close between Owen Smith and Jeremy Corbyn.

Angela Eagle, the former Shadow Business Secretary who was first to announce her bid for leadership of the Labour Party is suddenly deemed a rank outsider and now available at best odds of 20/1 via Bet365
