Danny’s Grasp on Strictly Favouritism Loosens
Ore Slashed From 25/1 To 11/2 To Win
Danny Mac has suffered a drift for the Strictly Come Dancing title after he found himself in the dance off at the weekend. The long running favourite narrowly avoided the boot on Sunday when Claudia Fragapane was sent packing, but his odds of winning have taken a hit.
Danny remains the favourite to win, but has been eased right out to 8/11 from his red hot price of 4/9.
Ore Oduba topped the leaderboard with an impressive total score of 77 for his Quickstep and Argentine Tango and his odds have been slashed ahead of the final. Ore is now priced at 15/2 to take home the Glitterball trophy having been a massive 25/1 outsider before the weekend’s performances.
He remains third in line for the trophy however as Louise Redknapp occupies the second favourite spot. Louise is beginning to close in on Danny Mac after she shortened into 6/4 from 9/4 despite falling four points short of Ore.
Aoife Heffron, PR Executive for BoyleSports commented “Danny is in trouble of falling at the final hurdle after his stint in the dance off saw his odds drift out to 10/11 from 4/9. However he does remain at the head of the betting, but the drift has made for a more interesting final as Louise begins to catch up to him.”
She added “Ore is currently the outsider to win, but after his odds were cut from 25/1 to 11/2 as a result of his phenomenal score at the weekend, we aren’t going to rule out this underdog just yet.”
