Balls v Daisy fo Strictly Elimination
He may have avoided the dance off so far, but Ed Balls’ time on Strictly Come Dancing looks set to be up as he is tipped for the chop this weekend. The ex-politician is the 15/8 favourite to be eliminated as the competition begins to heat up.
Despite his short odds, Ed is not the clear favourite with Laura Whitmore, who has shortened in price over the week, second favourite at 5/2 to go next
Daisy Lowe, who narrowly escaped the dance off on Sunday is also in danger of elimination as she is third in the betting, but is the slightly bigger price of 7/2, making it a close two horse race between Ed and Laura. Greg Rutherford is next at 8/1 with Judge Robert Rinder also priced at 8/1.
Long running favourite Danny Mac has been eased slightly to win and is now 6/5 from Evens as Ore Oduba shortens for the Glitterball trophy. Ore has gained support as he continues to impress each week and is now 11/4 to win.
Aoife Heffron, PR Executive for BoyleSports commented
“Ed Balls is the favourite for the Strictly Come Dancing boot for the first time this season. Ed has been the novelty act this year, but as the competition gets down to the nitty gritty it seems it’s time he made his exit.”
She added “At 5/4 Ed is heading the betting to be eliminated, but is closely followed by Daisy Lowe at 6/4, who was in the dance off last week, so there is a slight chance he will live to dance another week.”
